A vibrant Wear It Purple celebration for LGBTIQA+ young people, their friends, and allies — brought to you by The Diversity Project.

Join us and celebrate your boldest and brightest self this Wear It Purple Day with a celebration not to be missed in Greater Shepparton … our first ever LGBTIQA+ youth ball! Held on Saturday 30th August this event will be a place for young people aged 12-25 to connect and thrive, with free food, a low sensory space, art activities, a photobooth, live performance, a glitter station and more! Tickets are free for this fully supervised event.

Brought to you by The Diversity Project who aims to create a safer, more inclusive and healthier community for young people under 25 years old who are LGBTIQA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender diverse and non-binary, intersex, queer and asexual) in Greater Shepparton and Moira Shires.
Community members who identify as LGBTIQA+ come from all walks of life and social and ethnic backgrounds. The inclusiveness of all people in communities, regardless of their LGBTIQA+ identity is essential to champion diversity. Young people who recognise themselves as LGBTIQA+ need to feel safe and welcomed in community spaces, just like anyone else.
