Evan’s story.

Evan has battled through mental health struggles and housing instability since he was 20 years old. Now settled in his Uniting home, Evan sees the positive impact this newfound stability has had on his life.

“It’s nice to have support from Uniting and a bit of community around here. I’m starting to get to know people here, I feel like I’m starting to settle down.”

How you can support us

A warm meal can go a long way in supporting someone experiencing crisis, especially during the colder months.

“We’re seeing a lot of new faces come into Hartley’s. Last year we had over 2,000 different people come through the doors to have a meal with us.”

Uniting’s Ruffy Swag project is a new initiative led by Uniting’s Wodonga office. The purpose of the project is to produce swags locally to distribute to those sleeping rough.
