Financial hardship can strike anyone at any time so having access to practical and immediate emergency relief services from Uniting Vic.Tas is crucial. If you are struggling to pay for basic essentials including food and other necessities, we can offer groceries and personal care items through our emergency food and material relief program so you are adequately supported.

Community Meals

Food without Barriers is a two-dish, pop-up restaurant giving young students hospitality experience. The meal is free, however any donation is welcome and encouraged to help fund the program.

Our restaurant is open every Tuesday at 12pm for a strict 12.30pm sitting. Bookings are essential, call us on 02 6048 6900.

If you are struggling with financial pressure, you can receive support to work towards a more secure and stable financial future. Our financial counselling and educational services can help you assess your finances and identify your options in a confidential and non-judgmental environment. 

Gambling can become a problem once a person is spending more time and/or money than they can afford. Our gambling harm counselling services enables those negatively affected by gambling to access confidential and specialised financial support.

If you are newly arrived in Australia and are resettling in the Hume’s Ovens Murray region, our Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) and settlement services can help you build the skills and knowledge required to become self-reliant and active members of the community. We can support you with managing your finances and connecting you to other people through community participation and networking.

Being a full-time, part-time or occasional carer can be challenging at the best of times. The carer gateway program is to help make your life a little easier with short-term services are available to help lighten the load and protect your wellbeing. You can access services such as carer counselling, peer support groups and respite assistance.
