Hartley's Community Meals
Hartley’s Meals is a warm and relaxing café and community space that offers free hot drinks and low-cost nutritious meals that bring the community together. We have a sit down service and a peaceful outdoor courtyard, as well as take-away meals.
Everyone is welcome at Hartley’s Community Meals, with Health Care Card Holders eligible for up to 2 free meals a month.

Emergency Relief Services
Our emergency relief services in Prahran offer practical assistance, mental health support and help to link you in with the right service for you.
Eligibility:
- A pension or health care card
- Live in the Stonnington or Port Phillip area.
You may receive:
- Food assistance
- Material aid – such us clothes and blankets
- Personal care items
- Pharmacy assistance
- Travel assistance
- Mental health support
- Referrals.

Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 12:30pm.

Mental Health Support & Pathways
We provide opportunities for people to develop their skills and career in mental health support.
- Lifeline Melbourne headquarters in Prahran is actively recruiting volunteer Crisis Supporters. Learn more about volunteering to become a Lifeline Telephone Crisis Supporter
- The Pilot Student Placement Program offers opportunities for people studying Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work. Placement opportunities at our Prahran Hub include gaining work experience in the Op Shop, Emergency Relief, or in Hartley’s Community Meals. Energy Bill Support
Uniting Vic.Tas has a free Energy Support program. If you are getting behind on your energy bills and need assistance to contact your retailer, set up an affordable payment plan, stop a disconnection notice, or understand how you can save money on your bills then call us on 1800 313 126 or email [email protected]. This is a free over the phone service, that anybody can access.
Prahran Uniting Op Shop
Next door at 211 Chapel Street, our Prahran Uniting Op Shop provides you with an excellent range of clothing, homewares, and more at great prices, as well as raising money for essential social programs and services.
Open hours: Monday to Sunday 9:30am – 5pm.
