Newpin is an intensive, centre-based family restoration program designed to reunite children in out-of-home care with their parents by fostering a safe, supportive, and nurturing home environment.
The Newpin program uses a therapeutic approach to help you build positive, healthy relationships with your children. Newpin combines elements of formal and informal group work, peer support, and attachment-based relationship development. Delivered within a welcoming, home-like setting, Newpin provides parent education and emotional support aimed at long-term family restoration.
Newpin is available to those who reside in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong and Shire of Cardinia.
ETCS is a supervised contact program designed for children and young people who have been removed from their parents’ care due to concerns of abuse or neglect. The program provides a safe and stable environment where contact with parents and family members is facilitated as a therapeutic experience.
ETCS aims to support the emotional well-being of children while working toward family reunification where appropriate. Referrals are received from Child Protection agencies, and the service is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team comprising social workers, therapeutic support workers, and a team leader.
Key goals of the program include promoting your children’s safety and well-being, strengthening your family relationships, and supporting safe and gradual family.
