The Accidental Counsellor workshop is aimed at those who would like to be able to safely and effectively support friends, family, colleagues and strangers who are in distress or experiencing a crisis.
Regardless of your profession or industry, it is highly likely you will at some point encounter challenging or emotionally distressed individuals.
The Accidental Counsellor workshop is aimed at those who would like to be able to safely and effectively support friends, family, colleagues and strangers who are in distress or experiencing a crisis.
Accidental Counsellor is an awareness training program designed to provide participants with knowledge and skills to recognise, respond and refer, when supporting someone who is experiencing an emotional crisis.
The skills learnt in the Accidental Counsellor workshop can be applied in many contexts.
This workshop is a two part blended training model; both parts are mandatory:
- 90-minute eLearning module, self-directed and completed prior to the facilitated session; and
- 3.5-hour interactive instructor-led online workshop.
