Komak Youth

Support for Afghan young people in south-east Melbourne

Afghan young people in Dandenong and south-east Melbourne can connect, build confidence and find their place through Komak Youth. Whether you’ve just arrived in Australia or grew up here, Komak offers culturally safe programs where young people aged 12 to 25 can make friends, develop leadership skills and get support with school, wellbeing and everyday life.

Komak — meaning “help” or “support” in Dari — is delivered alongside the Afghan community, so every activity is shaped by young people’s own voices and lived experience.
