The Sideshow Gamble Experiment

Come and help us better serve our community by participating in our experiment and answering a few questions.
QEII Square, Albury
Games, prizes, entertainment by 3 Days Reign and onsite catering.
Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult to participate.
Participants arriving at the site can choose to participate in the sideshow games or go straight to the recreational area. If they choose the Sideshow, they receive a set number of tokens for the four games in the alley and fill out surveys at each game.
At the end of the sideshow, participants will complete a final survey and have the chance to win a prize. After that they can take a look at the history information, grab some food and listen to the band in the lovely surrounds of QE11 Square.
It is the data and the reflective experience of the survey that is the core of the project: we want to collect the data on impact but also want the participants to have the opportunity to, in thinking about their answers to the questions, reflect upon how using even imaginary money can affect them and drive their decisions and experience of the activity.
Also at the event will be an information booth for the collection of prizes, a staged history of gambling in Australia, and a collection of collateral pertaining to gambling help.
The booth will be attended by experts in the provision of gambling help and there will be a private area set aside for anyone triggered by the experience. The rest of the information area will be set aside for eating and community connection.
