Uniting Vic.Tas is the community services organisation of the Uniting Church in Victoria and Tasmania, having worked alongside local communities in both states for over 100 years.
Healthy, liveable, and connected communities are made possible by the support of the community services sector. Uniting staff and practitioners across Tasmania are proud to work alongside individuals and families who access our services, whether it be our child and family, parenting support, or family violence intervention programs; as well as in the provision of emergency relief and meals programs, early learning, disability employment support and Tadpac print.
Across all our services, Uniting Vic.Tas works to reduce the impact of poverty, trauma and disadvantage, making a significant contribution to our vision of an inclusive, connected and just future.
Partnerships are key in achieving this vision, and in the lead up to the 2025 Tasmanian election we call on all political parties and candidates to unite with Uniting Vic.Tas for an inclusive, connected and just future in Tasmania by committing to:
- Exploring new opportunities to ensure all Tasmanians can access safe, secure and appropriate housing
- Expanding quality early learning in Tasmania
- Filling the gap in the Tasmanian alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment system
- Working together to stop family violence before it starts
- Collaborating to improve the social and emotional wellbeing of rural Tasmanians
- Strengthening the community services sector.
