Join around 300 individuals to walk in memory of a person who has taken their life.

Suicide Prevention Awareness Network – SPAN, is a project spearheaded by Uniting’s GriefWork, and formed by 8 families who had experienced work-related suicides.
The SPAN walk began in Geelong and is now active in Central Victoria – made up of a committee of Bendigo Community groups. Each year around 300 individuals walk in memory of a person who has taken their life. This walk provides a safe place to find support and a community of people who have had a similar experience.
Staff from Bendigo community health services will be available at the walk to provide support.
10.50am: Official welcoming ceremony
11am: SPAN Awareness walk starts
11.45am: Butterfly remembrance ceremony
12pm: Free sausage sizzle.
