Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb 2025

6 Aug 2025 -   6 Sep 2025

Support firefighters and emergency service personnel by participating in the virtual Stair Climb challenge.

Online or at the Crown Metropol Hotel

Join us for the 12th Annual Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb 2025, a powerful event dedicated to supporting mental health initiatives for our firefighters and emergency service personnel. This year, there are two ways to participate.

The Virtual Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb 2025 runs from the 6th of August to the 6th of September. Challenge yourself to climb 100 stairs daily from anywhere – your home, local park, or elsewhere – as we unite to raise funds and awareness for Cancer Research and Crisis Support.

The in-person Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb is on the 6th of September this year. Firefighters and emergency services workers will once again ascend the 28 floors of the Crown Metropol Hotel in Melbourne, carrying 25kgs of breathing apparatus and emergency turnout gear.

This intense physical challenge represents the heavy burdens faced daily by our first responders. This year, the event is hoping to raise $1,000,000, which would see $400,000 donated to Uniting’s Lifeline Melbourne service.

You can support the cause by backing our Uniting representatives, Dale and Nicky, who are climbing for Lifeline Melbourne. Join them in Melbourne on the 6th of September 2025, by registering to volunteer for this powerful event.

Lifeline Melbourne, proudly operated by Uniting Vic.Tas, receives 40% of proceeds to aid their critical work in mental health.

Together, we can honour our first responders, and contribute to vital mental health support and cancer research.
