Local Engagement Groups (LEGs) across Victoria and Tasmania continue to strengthen and grow relationships in local communities.

Director of Mission

Rev John Clarke

John brings to Uniting Vic.Tas demonstrated church leadership as well as considerable experience in project management, strategic thinking, practical theology and adult education. Prior to joining Uniting Vic.Tas, he was Director of Mission with Uniting AgeWell.

Mission and Ethos Partner in West Victoria and Tasmania

Rev Lisa Stewart

Lisa Stewart is the Mission and Ethos Partner for West Vic & Tas. She worked in finance and business management for many years before

deciding that helping to build and strengthen local communities was a better match for her passions and energy. As a UCA minister she served in congregational placements with a strong community service focus before joining Uniting in  2017. She is immensely proud to work alongside and support Uniting’s staff in the incredible work they do inspiring people, enlivening communities, and confronting injustice.

Mission and Ethos Partner East Victoria 

Cheryl Lawrie

Cheryl is committed to working for a more just and inclusive community, and values the role Uniting plays to bring that about.

Cheryl’s background bridges both community services and the church. Most recently she was Executive Officer with CAN Community Support, which is part of the Carlton (Church of All Nations) Parish Mission.

She is passionate about the gifts, skills and resources that are part of congregations and presbyteries, which can be brought into partnership with Uniting.
