We develop affordable housing projects that are socially, environmentally and financially sustainable. We operate in areas of need where there is a shortage of alternative options.
We’re partnering with governments, businesses, communities and Uniting Church congregations to explore community need and develop housing options.

Brand new apartments
15-19 Service Street, Sunshine
These beautiful brand-new apartments are situated in the heart of Sunshine, close to all essential amenities, including retail shops, schools, parks, and public transport.
The apartment complex comprises of 17 one and two-bedroom apartments and come with features including centralised gas hot water system, air conditioning, an electric oven and cooktop, and built-in robes.
This is affordable housing for low-moderate income earners. Only eligible candidates can submit an application for this property.
Sunshine application FAQ
- Come and see the property. We’ll advertise the date on Realestate.com
- We’ll review all the applications received and invite people to attend an interview
- If successful, we will check your details and references and send a letter of offer
- If you are not successful, we will let you know by email
- Leases will start within one week of the Uniting offer
- You will need to pay one month’s rent in advance and a bond equivalent to one month’s rent before the tenancy can begin.
Renters are selected by:
- Meeting the criteria
- A timely application (before applications close)
- Interview
- Reference checks.
We will let everyone who has applied know as soon as possible. If you are successful, you will get a letter of offer and if you are not successful, you will receive an email.
Uniting does not maintain a waitlist. We will advertise affordable housing properties as they become available.
Three years. Renters can renew lease agreements, following an eligibility assessment at the end of the three-year period.
Note eligibility assessments are annual.
