Pancake Day.
Pancake Day is a great chance to get together, have some fun and make a difference.
Funds raised from Pancake Day are used by Uniting Vic.Tas to help some of the most vulnerable and marginalised people in our communities.
These range from emergency relief for families facing food crisis, to supporting homeless people into permanent accommodation; from finding work for people with disability to supporting those newly arrived, needing safety and a welcoming community.
Since 2002, Pancake Day has raised over $2.4 million for local communities across Victoria and Tasmania.

Why pancakes?
Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, is the last day to eat all of the luxury foods in the pantry before the start of Lent, which is a time of abstinence and reflection in the 40 days before Easter.
These foods include flour, eggs and dairy products, which when combined, make delicious pancakes.
To help you host the perfect Pancake Day event, we have a range of resources including a planning guide, posters, menu board template, list of FAQs and social media tiles to help you promote your event.
