If you are experiencing family violence, you are not alone. At Uniting Vic.Tas Dandenong we provide dedicated support through our family violence group programs, Pathways to Resilience program and confidential counselling services. Through the support group programs, you are able to discuss your experience in a safe and supportive environment. At our Princes Highway location we offer family violence counselling to those living in the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey & Cardinia Shire.

Moving to a new country can be challenging so we offer social support and inclusion programs to connect you to your new community. Our services at Princes Highway provide culturally sensitive activities which help to build your skills and abilities, whilst also helping you to build new friendships.

Komak is a specialised program intended to support Afghan families. Komak, which means “help” or “support” in Dari, aims to reduce isolation and help Afghan families feel connected to the wider local community. Contact us at [email protected]

Our parenting skill development service helps give your child the best start in life with dedicated support and programs to build confidence in your parenting skills. Our parenting groups can connect you to other parents who are also wanting to strengthen their child-parent bonds and resolve issues concerning isolation, mental health and social disadvantage.

You can access one-on-one support to further develop your parenting skills through our tailored support programs.

Our Uniting Vic.Tas Dandenong location offers:

  • Sibling support
  • Kinship care for children who cannot remain safely with their parents and are cared for by relatives or members of the child’s social network. The Kinship care program also provides carers with information and advice on financial, legal and community support
  • Our adoption and permanent care program connects vulnerable children with suitable and supportive families for long term care.
Foster Care
Uniting Foster Care services work to recruit, train and support foster carers who can provide safe and nurturing families to children who are unable to live with their birth families. The aim is to provide stable and loving homes for children and young people in need, helping them to achieve their full potential and move towards a brighter future.
