Christmas Appeal

Gifts For Families.

After everything we’ve gone through this year, we all want Christmas to be extra special. But for many families, it will be a struggle to afford gifts. We want to ensure that everyone who comes to us for support this Christmas will not go without gifts.

Support local

Be part of Uniting's Gifts For Families Appeal.

We have seen a significant increase in people accessing our services throughout the year, so we anticipate the need for Christmas support will be greater than previous years.

Last year we were overwhelmed with requests for assistance. It is our goal to assist every family in need so that no child will go without a gift this Christmas.

There are many ways you can support local families in need.

Help us make sure there are gifts under every Christmas tree this year.

Ella's story

After struggling through years of insufficient support and no respite, some families feel they have no choice but to give up as they can no longer cope…

At just four years old, Ella* found herself without a family.

Ella was born with foetal alcohol syndrome and as a result lives with a hearing impairment, making it hard for her to communicate with others.

Extended family members, Tom* and Georgia* worried what Ella’s future would look like entering into the foster care system so young.

“We were able to support the couple to learn sign language, so they could communicate with Ella...She’s very loved this little girl. They’re a family now, she’s such a happy child.”
