Lifeline Ballarat, part of Uniting Vic.Tas, is presenting a series of two-day Domestic and Family Violence workshops.

Domestic and Family Violence Response Training (DV-alert) is designed to build capacity in frontline workers where family violence is not a core function of their role. 

To be eligible for the free workshops, participants must work or volunteer in health, allied health, community, higher education or childcare or in a frontline capacity supporting the general community. 

At these workshops you will learn to:

  • Recognise the signs of domestic and family violence
  • Respond with appropriate carE
  • Refer effectively to support services

Lifeline Ballarat will be delivering the following workshops: 

  • 28 & 29 April     General DV-alert Workshop 
  • 5 & 6 May           General DV-alert Workshop 
  • 1 & 2 June          General DV-alert Workshop 
  • 21 & 22 April     Frontline Workers supporting multicultural communities 
  • 8 & 9 June          Frontline Workers supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
